In the Countryside is inspired by a trip around the Waitomo countryside, I was so taken with the creamy yarrow flowers that lined the roadside and the vivid greens of the grass and paddocks. It was all rather dreamy in the bright, summer NZ sun.

These new landscape works invite the viewer to pause and find solace in places that feel familiar, though not entirely recognisable. Through layered colour and soft transitions, these paintings evoke atmosphere as much as place, guiding the eye toward light on the horizon and awakening a quiet curiosity about what lies just beyond the path.

Original painted with oil pastels on oil mat card.

Frames are 100% real wood with a raw, matte black or white enamel finish. I do have other framing colours and 5cm, 8cm and 12cm mat boards available, so please contact me directly if you'd like something custom.

Each order is custom made and shipped from Auckland (or Melbourne for AU) within 1-2 weeks.
