‘The Golden Hour’ celebrates the golden hour light on the Omanu dunes. This serene time announces the arrival of the day. I have used a variety of media to capture the movement and depth of a moment that will vanish with the changing light.

The use of multiple mediums also conveys the haphazard and textured growth throughout the dunes in spring. Cascading freesias and chaotic beach grasses frame the path that leads to the beach.

Stretched canvas edging is painted a blue/grey to offset the colours in the painting.

Artwork comes framed with an oak floating frame. This frame sits away from the stretched canvas, with a 5mm gap, giving the illusion of floating separately from the artwork. Please contact me directly if you'd like to know more on hello@ejwoodart.co.nz.
